Deb Crowe Schlosser Beats Cancer

Deep thoughts with Deb Crowe

Chapter Three…

FINALLY started radiation yesterday. For the past several weeks, I’ve been going to PT twice a week & have been trying to get range of motion in my left arm back to normal. I can lift it high enough to hug Steve, who flew in last Friday. He’s here for my first week of radiation & is driving Miss Dizzy Deb to & fro. I can’t hug him enough.

Since radiation has started, I’ve moved over to my dear friend Deana’s little casita behind her home out in Conroe TX. She’s got chickens & gardens & does lots of art projects – I’ve always thought she could offer such a cool “summer camp” so I am a happy camper right about now. She’s located much closer to MD Anderson in the Woodlands, making the daily drive shorter by about an hour. I’ll still be headed to Stacy’s every weekend so I can still soak up my family energy & bug my little sister.

I have 2 movie recommendations, in case anyone is interested….first is “The Christophers”, which I saw at a cinema on the big screen with no idea of who was in it or what it was about. Suffice it to say that I loved it – the story, the acting, the entire production. That’s all I’ll say, so that it can hopefully pleasantly surprise you too. And the second is Remarkably Bright Creatures, which is on Netflix. I read the book long ago & loved it. Sally Field is in this & I just want to hug her character. I thought it was a really great adaptation of the book & I went to sleep so happy.

Here’s a round of hugs for you all. I’m still going to be here in the Houston area probably until early July, so if you are in the neighborhood, give your girl a call & let’s go get some tacos! Much love!🐦‍⬛
