It’s been one week since I received the dose that was 30% less strong than previously and I can tell the difference. And because we are going to 3 weeks in between doses, I won’t need the white-cell booster shot that causes so much pain. Yay!
My mouth still feels coated in what tastes like an old packet of Cherry KoolAid from the 70’s mixed with the chalkboard chalk from your 3rd grade classroom. Just gross. Hopefully that’s the worst of this new version. I’m still super tired & weak but sleeping through the night again, eating adequately & in generally good spirits. I’ve gained all the weight I lost & it has planted itself in my face – I look like a chipmunk!
But this has turned out to be a very good week for my cousin Sheryl to come visit , even if just for just a few days. We made enchiladas last night. Today Steve is taking us for an afternoon sail. Tomorrow is another walk on Magens Bay beach. So nice to have such easy-going, gentle & fun company around.
I’m sending out a big group hug – thank you all for your words of encouragement & care. Much love – Deb
