Deep thoughts with Deb Crowe

Lessons in patience

Just a quick update……

Met with both surgeons yesterday and I am still leaking. It’s called a Chyle Leak, and basically any fat/triglycerides that I consume or that are already in my body are leaking out into the lymph fluid that is flowing through the drain. This is one of the reasons why my drain still has too much daily output to be removed. So, looks like I’m still in limbo waiting to heal for most likely 2-3 more weeks, with drain still in tact and 0-fat diet still in effect. There is a possibility that I may be prescribed some self-administered shots to help leak stop leaking. All of this to say that my flight home has been postponed until next week.

Good news is that I’ve been able to sleep somewhat better the past 2 nights, which has been hugely helpful to my state of mind. Sleep is key. I highly recommend it.

Here’s a round of hugs for you all. The gratitude for your support only grows. LOVE!!!!!

1st a big hug from me with a healing prayer & love. Good on you and it looks like your baby steps are positive. Your Kentucky Cousins from the land of “Daddy Bill” & “Mama Tutu” wish you the best. As a Texan transplanted to Kentucky you have my thoughts & prayers.
