Well, I just got back from visiting with the KS oncologist. Not the appointment I was hoping for. I was expecting more detailed results & a care plan based on all of the recent tests. Didn’t get any of that and questions remain.
One of the things we’re concerned about is having a chemo contingency plan in case of hurricane. We need a somewhat flexible oncology plan that the current guy is not really willing or able to help with. He’s got a really nice team of folks, but I’m hoping for a better plan with more details when we meet with MD Anderson next month. Delaying my care for another month isn’t ideal but I feel very strongly about having medical caregivers who actually listen & don’t condescend.
Still following through on my surgery appointment tomorrow & the port installation next Tuesday, then home on Thursday. Hallelujah!
